Rob GreenleeDanaDid you know you were a "Streamie"? If you listen to net radio, you can add that title to your credentials.

Measurecast.com researches the habits and stats on streamies.  Our latest MeasureCast Weather Report shows that, while 16 of the MeasureCast Top 25 Web radio stations streamed more hours of entertainment than they did the week before, the MeasureCast Internet Radio Listening Index for the week of July 29 - Aug. 4 dipped six percent. See - you need to start listening more!

But the good news is in the long view: since Jan. 6, 2002, the total time spent listening to Web radio stations measured by MeasureCast is up 129 percent. Internet radio listening is primarily a work-hour phenomenon, with 79% of all on-line listening occurring during work hours.

Just don't get caught by your boss :^)

"Tips that get clicks, Part II: Creating Web pages that are search engine-friendly "
by Dana Greenlee

"There are over 1 billion Web pages on the Internet. 91 percent of Internet users use search engines to navigate the Web. 9 out of every 10 searches are done from the top 20 search engines, and 85 percent of search engine users do not look past the first 40 search results. If you manage a Web site, your primary goal is to attract more people to visit your site. Part of that formula is to know how to create search engine-friendly Web pages, and then submit your URL to all the major search engines."

We asked Danny Sullivan of SearchEngineWatch.com to give us his Search engine optimization techniques to help dot-coms get top billing . This is Part 2 of 2.

Marc Curtis, founder of the Military Brats RegistryA Conversation with Marc Curtis, founder of Military-Brats.com

The term "military brat" is derogatory to some people, but not to Marc Curtis, founder of the Military Brats Registry (www.military-brats.com), a free online resource which reconnects 60,000 military dependants.

Next week we are taking a look at one rather large segment of the online community - one that might have never been able to form without the net and one guy who provides a gathering spot. That is for the families and dependents of people in the military.

Also on the show: Is your InkJet Printer an ink guzzler?  Sick of paying more for an ink cartridge than you paid for your whole printer? Find out about how to save money on ink with our guest from InkSaver.com.
